Our Story

Different Roads. One Calling.

Before Goodsons Co. became a platform for books, ideas, and speaking, it was something much simpler: a life Eric and Tamar Goodson were building together.

Empower people beyond measure.

It Didn't Begin With a Business Plan.

Goodsons Co. grew from years of shared life, learning, writing, and practical experience.

The work developed over time.

Some of it began in classrooms. Some began around the family table. Some came through entrepreneurship. Some came from helping people navigate difficult situations. Some came through writing.

Some came through conversations with families, students, parents, leaders, professionals, and people simply trying to figure out what to do next.

And some of the most important lessons came through their own experiences of building, adjusting, starting again, and learning together.

Over time, what appeared to be separate work began revealing a common purpose.

"Help people understand where they are, recognize what they have, and move forward empowered."

That purpose became the foundation of Goodsons Co.

Built Together.

Eric and Tamar Goodson bring different experiences, strengths, perspectives, and gifts to the work.

Together, those differences have become one of Goodsons Co.'s greatest strengths.

Their collective experience spans education, leadership, entrepreneurship, financial empowerment, writing, homeschooling, family development, faith, coaching, and community service.

But Goodsons Co. isn't built around résumés.

It's built around what those experiences taught them about people.

  • People often don't need another person telling them what they should have done.
  • They need clarity.
  • They need practical information.
  • They need encouragement.
  • They need someone willing to listen.
  • They need tools.
  • They need options.
  • Sometimes they simply need room to breathe.

That understanding shapes how Goodsons Co. approaches the work.

Family Isn't Separate From the Mission.

Family has never been something placed on the other side of the work at Goodsons Co.

It is part of the reason for the work.

The experience of building a family alongside building a business — navigating marriage, raising children, homeschooling, managing responsibilities, and learning how to keep moving forward — has shaped the organization's understanding of leadership.

The conviction is straightforward: success loses meaning when the people you're building it for are consistently sacrificed in the process.

That conviction influences how Goodsons Co. thinks about:

  • leadership
  • entrepreneurship
  • education
  • money
  • marriage
  • fatherhood and motherhood
  • home
  • service
  • stewardship
  • legacy

The goal isn't simply to build successful work. It is to build something worth passing forward.

Empowering People Beyond Measure.

Those words aren't simply a tagline.

They describe the thread connecting the work.

  • Empowerment can happen in a classroom.
  • It can happen around a kitchen table.
  • It can happen during a difficult life or financial conversation.
  • It can happen while reading a book.
  • It can happen between a husband and wife.
  • It can happen when someone gains clarity around a situation that once felt overwhelming.
  • It can happen when a student realizes: "I can do this."
  • It can happen when someone who's been carrying too much finally finds room to breathe.

Goodsons Co. exists to create more of those moments — and to build practical resources and ideas capable of supporting what happens next.

"Empowerment should be more than something people hear. It should become something people can use."

Build From What's Already in Your Hands.

One of the principles shaping this season of Goodsons Co. is simple:

Stop assuming the next answer has to be something new.

Sometimes growth doesn't require another business. Another brand. Another program. Another website. Or another idea.

Sometimes the work is to recognize what's already been entrusted to you, bring it into alignment, strengthen it, and use it well.

That principle now guides Goodsons Co.:

Clean Up

Remove unnecessary complexity and bring existing work into alignment.

Connect

Allow lessons, ideas, relationships, and lived experience to strengthen the work.

Activate

Put what already exists to meaningful use in service of people.

Built for Today. Stewarded for Tomorrow.

Goodsons Co. carries the Goodson name intentionally.

Eric and Tamar aren't interested only in building things that work while they are personally operating them.

They want to build principles, resources, intellectual property, relationships, and ideas capable of serving beyond one season — and ultimately beyond them.

Legacy isn't simply what gets inherited.

It's what gets modeled, documented, protected, practiced, and passed forward.

That means building with enough clarity that the next generation understands not only what was created, but why it existed.

The goal isn't simply to leave behind possessions or accomplishments. The deeper hope is that they inherit the capacity to create, serve, lead, steward, and empower others in their own way.

Faith Shapes How We Build.

Faith is part of the Goodsons' life, family, and understanding of stewardship.

It shapes how they think about purpose, service, marriage, family, responsibility, generosity, restoration, and the way people should be treated.

Goodsons Co. welcomes people from different backgrounds and experiences.

There is no requirement to share the Goodsons' beliefs in order to receive respect, encouragement, or support through Goodsons Co.

"Their faith doesn't give them permission to pressure people. It gives them a responsibility to serve people well."

The Story Is Still Being Written.

Goodsons Co. isn't finished.

But this season isn't primarily about adding more.

It's about becoming better stewards of what is already here.

Strengthening the work.

Preserving the lessons.

Serving families well.

Creating meaningful experiences.

Documenting what has been learned.

Building responsibly.

And allowing each expression of the work to support the larger mission.

Empowering People Beyond Measure.

This Is More Than Our Company.

It's what we're building together — and what we hope to leave better than we found it.
